Playwright itself is a framework, an open-source automation framework used for testing web applications. It’s built on Node.js and supports various programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, and .NET. Playwright automates browser interactions and allows for cross-browser testing across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit.
